Hi everyone, it’s been a little bit since my last message, but we’ve all been very busy since we acquired API Digital. I wanted to give you an update on the API integration and also to share the first fruits of our Investigation Station Rotation event that we held earlier this year at the IP Vision conference in St. Louis.
One of the services provided by API Digital that we’re most excited about is their (now our) Network Operation Center (NOC). The NOC monitors your specified network gear 24x7x365 using a Watch, Respond and Resolve process. Our expert NOC engineers respond to alerts, escalating as needed, and work to not only resolve in the short term but also to get at the root cause to prevent the issues from occurring again. The NOC takes the monitoring and response burden off your network engineers so they can focus on growing and strengthening your network. Your engineers also get to avoid those 3 am emergency calls. Meanwhile, you get to avoid the expense of overtime and callout costs!
The end goal of NeoNova’s NOC Services (powered by API Digital) is to make networks as quiet as possible. Quieter networks mean more satisfied customers, less subscriber churn, lower support costs, and (on your end) happier service technicians and network engineers doing more meaningful work. Plus, our NOC is designed to work closely with our help desk team to get out in front of outages and other network events, creating more efficiencies and faster response times on both sides. We’d love to talk with you about how we might be able to put these services to good use monitoring your network, too.
The API Digital acquisition and integration may be the biggest thing we have going right now, but it’s far from the only thing. Earlier this year at IP Vision, we invited several experts from our partner companies to engage in small moderated discussion groups with rural telco executives and technicians. These discussion groups rotated through three major topics impacting our industry today: managed wi-fi, cybersecurity, and broadband video. Our moderators captured notes from these discussions, and we also conducted a survey of the registrants and several of our other customers to get a sense of the challenges and efforts being faced by the rural broadband industry around these topics.
We’re using this information to generate three white papers (one for each topic). Although it took a bit longer than expected, I’m excited to share the first of those white papers, Managed Wi-fi, with you today. We also whipped up an at-a-glance infographic to showcase some of our survey findings. Click here to check out the infographic and download the white paper. We hope this information is useful, and there will be more coming soon!
Finally, if you haven’t already, now’s a great time to reserve your spot at our upcoming TechConnect 2017 (formerly NeoNova Summit), Nov 14-17 in beautiful Jekyll Island, Ga. We’re working with our parent company NRTC and sister company Telispire to create a great agenda for you, packed with useful information, excellent networking opportunities, a bit of fun, and a lot of excellent food! We also have the fantastic Jekyll Island Westin blocked for you at a very reasonable rate. The best rooms are already starting to get booked up, so I’d recommend reserving early if you plan to attend. Hope you can join us!
Take care and have a great Fourth of July!
