NeoNova up for two 2016 NC Tech Awards
RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 16, 2016) – NeoNova Network Services has been selected as a finalist for two NC Tech Awards: Communications Company of the Year and Mid-Sized Company of the Year.
The NC Tech Awards is North Carolina’s only statewide technology awards program, recognizing companies and individuals who have characterized excellence, innovation and leadership, presented by the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA).
In 2015, the rural telco industry was faced with a crisis: one of the industry leading solutions for email and productivity tools was being discontinued. NeoNova, the largest reseller of this service, was faced with the enormous task of finding a suitable replacement for email service and moving end user mailboxes within 12 months. NeoNova planned and migrated 44,000 email accounts in North Carolina and 400,000 across the United States in only 8 months, providing free support to those users during the transition. Altogether, NeoNova fielded more than 1 million minutes in customer support calls.
In addition to their customers, NeoNova also was recognized by the provider as a recommended migration partner. As a result, NeoNova migrated a number of non-customer partners who collectively served more than 300,000 end users.
“Since 1995, the NC Tech Awards have honored companies for outstanding achievement in the tech sector and use of technology. As a finalist in this year’s awards, NeoNova has distinguished itself as one of the state’s technology leaders,” said NCTA President and CEO Brooks Raiford.
A review committee comprised of non-profit, media, education, and technology leaders representing various regions of the state selected this year’s finalists. The awards process culminates with the NC Tech Awards Gala on November 10, 2016 at the Raleigh Convention Center where hundreds of leaders from across the state will gather to celebrate the tech sector and honor the winners and finalists in each category.
“We are very excited to be a finalist for the NC Tech Awards,” said NeoNova President Jason McGinnis. “We define our success according to the success of our customers. I think this recognition shows we’re making significant progress in our mission to provide leading-edge technology solutions for the broadband providers of rural America.”
The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) is a not-for-profit, membership-driven trade association and the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina.
