Just in case we don’t have a chance to talk before next week, I’d like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

One of our major goals is to educate and provide thought leadership in our industry, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to share some essential Thanksgiving information:

The TV dinner was created because of Thanksgiving! In 1952, Swanson had over 250 tons of leftover turkey (and you thought your fridge was stuffed after most Thanksgivings), so they decided to package it in aluminum plates with sides.

Harry Truman did not, despite popular belief, conduct the first Presidential turkey pardon in 1947. That was actually the year of the first presentation of a turkey to the President from the National Turkey Federation, intended to promote the poultry industry (President Truman most likely ate it). The first recorded pardon was all the way back in 1863 by President Lincoln.

Wild turkeys can run as a fast as 25 miles per hour! (That’s only slightly slower than Usain Bolt.)

Only male turkeys make “gobble” sounds.

And finally, my personal favorite: What do you get when you cross a turkey with a centipede? Drumsticks for everyone!

In all seriousness, we would really like to show how much we appreciate you in Austin next May 13-15. We’re hosting our second TechConnect event with some excellent informational sessions, opportunities for networking, great food, and (of course) a lot of fun! We heard your feedback after the last event, and this TechConnect will be even better than the last. We’ll have a full day of NeoNova breakout session, and we’re thinking outside-the-box to make it a unique and useful experience.

Visit our TechConnect web page to learn more about the event, see what amazing activities we’ll be offering, and reserve your spot. Remember, it’s free for your first two employees, with steep discounts for additional employees and guests.

If you’re interested in learning more about this or if you’d just like to discuss any of your NeoNova services, please get in touch.

On behalf of myself and the entire NeoNova family, I wish a very joyful Thanksgiving to you and your family!
